About the Book

Nomads: Life on the Move introduces young readers to seven nomadic tribes that are still active today. The book captures both the joys and hardships faced by each tribe and shows how history has influenced their present. It also encourages readers to think about sustainable living practices adopted by nomadic tribes and how we might apply those same practices to our own lives.

I can recall very few books written for children about nomadic tribes—none as detailed as Nomads: Life on the Move. Even adults will be surprised by some of the information they can learn from this book.

Young readers will love the colorful illustrations sharing the many landscapes traversed by nomadic tribes and the unique structures they call home. Kids will also enjoy studying the similarities and differences between the nomadic lifestyle and their own.

Learning the different ways these seven nomadic tribes move from one location to another will undoubtedly inspire kids to consider how they too might travel one day.

Nomads: Life on the Move

Travel plays such an important role in our lives. It has the ability to change us for the better. It’s an experiential education that teaches us how to feel, think, act, and react in positive ways. Travel fosters creativity, builds confidence, and teaches us all to be more tolerant. My own kids benefit from travel every time we hit the open road. No amount of money can buy those life lessons.

Travelnitch is inspiring the next generation of explorers. We believe travel is a wonderful way to ignite the imagination and get kids excited about the world. However, we need your help to make this possible. Please spread the word and support our efforts to raise citizens of the world. Let’s go on this adventure together!
