Colors of the National Parks

About the Book
Brown elks cruise the land in Yellowstone while black bears roam Yosemite. The green cactus thrives in Zion, and the white-tailed ptarmigan flies high above the Rocky Mountains.
Come with us on a trip around America’s national parks, a world full of colors, wildlife, and incredible landscapes. With simple text and bright illustrations, this sturdy board book is the perfect introduction to the ten most visited national parks in the United States for curious babies and toddlers.
Colors of the National Parks isn’t just about colors. It also introduces young readers to different animals, trees and other facets of science and nature across our homeland. Each park seems to have been chosen for its diverse flora and fauna, as well as notoriety and geographic location.
The parks featured in this book are only a small snippet of what this beautiful country has to offer. The map at the front of the book shows readers where they will be visiting. Of course, this book would be nothing without the stunning illustrations which brilliantly set the scene for each location, showcasing different colors and textures for each highlighted object found in nature. What the book lacks in words and descriptions is made up for in the way each image pops off the page.
If readers are too young to understand the concept of travel, hopefully, this book will inspire parents to show their kids what travel can look like—in all its natural glory!

Travel plays such an important role in our lives. It has the ability to change us for the better. It’s an experiential education that teaches us how to feel, think, act, and react in positive ways. Travel fosters creativity, builds confidence, and teaches us all to be more tolerant. My own kids benefit from travel every time we hit the open road. No amount of money can buy those life lessons.
Travelnitch is inspiring the next generation of explorers. We believe travel is a wonderful way to ignite the imagination and get kids excited about the world. However, we need your help to make this possible. Please spread the word and support our efforts to raise citizens of the world. Let’s go on this adventure together!
